Beatrice Coron
"Born and raised in France, Beatrice Coron worked as a shepherd, a truck driver before becoming a tour guide. She spent a year in Egypt, a year in Mexico, then two years in China. She moved to New York in 1984 where she launched her career as an artist. Cutting paper, metal or glass, Coron creates environments for words and thoughts. Her eclectic inspirations freely comment on her perception of the world. Her work can be seen in major collections (the Walker Art Center, The Metropolitan Museum, the Getty Center...) as well as in public spaces (subways, Airport, Sport facilities...)"
